US395 NSC BNSF Railway Structure Realignment

The US395 NSC BNSF Railway Structure Realignment is a WSDOT project that entails the construction of the latest section of the North Spokane Corridor. The project consists of the mass excavation of 4 new BNSF rail alignments which includes roughly 500,000 CY of roadway excavations and the placement of over 70,000 tons of ballast. This project will serve to minimize at grade crossings of the BNSF railway and includes the construction of 4 each prestressed precast concrete girder bridges.

The project carries a significant amount of geosynthetic wall construction as well as precast concrete fascia panels, traffic barrier, pedestrian barrier, HMA and concrete curb gutter and sidewalk. The contract is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2015.
