Lyle Falls Intake Structure Excavation

This project was the rock excavation and cofferdam installation for the construction of the future intake structure.  This project had to be finished prior to the let of the intake structure project due to stringent in water hydraulic permit.  This is site is a critical culturally sensitive area.  Construction means and methods were planned in accordance with how best to take care of the surrounding area and how best to accommodate the tribal members activities in the surrounding area.   The work consisted of drilling, blasting and excavating approximately 2,500cy of rock and installation of 150’ cofferdam.  Completion dates were critical for hydraulic permit compliance.
